South Asian Association of Bedford (SAAB) is dedicated to fostering a dynamic and cohesive community that celebrates and honors South Asian culture and traditions. Through a variety of social, cultural, and community events, SAAB seeks to enrich the Bedford area by bringing together hundreds of South Asian families, encouraging unity and cultural pride.
By providing a platform for South Asians in Bedford to engage and be represented, SAAB not only nurtures integration within the broader community but also ensures that the rich tapestry of South Asian heritage is woven into the local cultural fabric. Holi, known as the festival of colors, heralds the end of winter and the start of spring—a time for new beginnings. This ancient tradition celebrates the triumph of good over evil and the deep bonds of family and friends through the playful throwing of colored powders. Last year, this colorful event attracted over 300 participants, earning widespread praise and media attention.
